The new Huawei Freebuds 5i has been launched in China. With a claimed battery life of up to 28 hours when used with the charging case, these earbuds are said to offer up to 7.5 hours of usage from a single charge.
The Huawei Freebuds 5i offers multi-mode free switching, allowing the earbuds to connect to two devices simultaneously. They also boast dual hybrid noise cancellation and are IPX 4 water-resistant. Available in three color options, the Freebuds 5i is on sale now in China.

The Huawei Freebuds 5i earbuds are priced at CNY 499 (approximately USD 75) in China, and are available in three colors: Ceramic White, Interstellar Black, and Island Blue.

The Huawei Freebuds 5i has a lightweight design with silicone earbuds. They have obtained the Hi-Res certification for sound quality and have a wide frequency response range. The Freebuds feature dual hybrid noise cancellation technology that helps them achieve noise cancellation.
The Huawei Freebuds 5i also features an ear canal adaptive noise cancellation that can detect the airtightness of the ear canal and help reduce outside noise. You can also select the preferred active noise cancellation (ANC) mode separately. It also offers a combined active noise cancellation capability of up to 42dB.
The earbuds feature touch controls that let you turn the noise cancellation and transparent modes on and off with a long press on either earbud. You can adjust the volume by sliding up or down on the stem of the earbuds, play or pause music and answer or end calls with a double-tap.
The Smart Life App’s audio connection center lets users manage the devices their earphones are connected to and easily switch between them.
The Huawei Freebuds comes with a battery capacity of 55mAh, while the charging case has a minimum capacity of 410mAh. With the ANC feature turned off, the Freebuds 5i claims a battery life of 28 hours, and 18.5 hours with ANC switched on.
The earbuds can offer up to 7.5 hours of battery life without ANC, and six hours with ANC enabled. The case will take about 60 minutes to charge the earphones and the wired charging will take about 110 minutes.
The company promises that the new charging case is 18 percent lighter than the previous one.
